BROWNIE CARAMEL IN A JAR.
Okay. As you know I have been doing lots of things in jars lately. (If you missed it just check out my post here on 10 DIY Mason Jar Ideas.) Plus having the surprise pampering shower for one of my besties, I made this scrumptious dessert. It was so awesome. I had friends taking them home and children sneaking them out of the fridge the next morning (even though it was for Dad).
I know it’s a keeper when the hubs loves it. He’s not a big sweet eater, so when he loved this, I knew it was yummy.
Oh, and did I mention it was simple?
The original recipe came from here. I didn’t use the same exact ingredients and did it a little differently, but still the same concept.
BROWNIE CARAMEL IN A JAR
First step, make some brownies. I used some with chocolate chips baked into them, they were double chocolate (of course, because why would you use a single chocolate when you can have double right?)
Let them cool. And grabbed my grandmother’s jars (again, I love jars).
I then cut the brownies with my grandmother’s biscuit cutter (it’s tiny and fit exactly perfect into my jars.) You don’t have to use a cutter, but it made it easy to put into the jars.
Then, I made some dark chocolate pudding and milk chocolate pudding. Put those in the fridge and let them set.
Get caramel topping and cover on top of the brownies.
Layer pudding on top of caramel soaked brownies.
Top with Whipped Topping right before serving and drizzle with additional caramel topping.
Kind of like an assemble line, I lined up all my jars and did them all at once. It was so easy, just took a few steps. The only baking was the brownies. That’s it.
And it was awesome.
Like, I need some now.
I used jars, but you don’t have to use jars for this if you don’t have them on hand. Make some in bowls and serve like sundaes. Or, get a deep dish and just layer everything on top of the brownies after you bake them. There are so many ways to serve up this yummy dessert. I hope you enjoy!
