Yes, this is an 80’s song. Yes, my sister was a high school cheerleader, so I am very in the know of late 80’s and early 90’s hip-hop and pop song lyrics. Therefore, this song naturally just came into my head when writing this blog. Actually, working on my house.
Fall is Here-So Bust A Move in this House!
The kids are all at school, minus curly-top. It’s a little bit easier for me to get motivated to get this house in order. And I finally did! Of course, this is a few days late coming to you since my well-laid plans for Fall decorating on Labor Day were put to a halt with the lovely stomach bug.
Expect the Unexpected (Yes, that’s a Big Brother reference)
Anyway, now that I’m back to reality, well for the most part because what kind of reality does a Mom with 4 kids really have, I have starting hitting this house. It’s almost like spring cleaning, but it’s just the opposite time of year.
Here’s what I did:
I pulled everything off the mantle.
Dusted everything in the room. I know, I’m as shocked as you are.
I cleaned out the corners, or “hot-spots” as I like to call them.
Cleaned baseboards with my enviro-cloth. Yes, I know. Pick your mouth up off the floor.
Put out my fall decor.
Well, it’s not that quite gorgeous in here, but it definitely is cozy in here 🙂
We are all ready for Fall. Not only does it feel like Autumn in this farmhouse, it’s clean. I wouldn’t lick the floor, but still clean.
Who am I kidding? My 3 year old licks this floor.
And she’s fine.
So my challenge to you: Fall is Here: BUST A MOVE IN YOUR HOUSE!
What are you going to focus on? What’s a hot spot you need to get rid of?
You can do it! Just:
Check out my Facebook for pics of our house and share with me some of your “Busting A Move” in your house!! Next week I’m moving to the dining room and the hallway. It’s time to get this house in ship-shape condition for the holidays. (Okay, so I’m really bad at sayings, or adages, and I tend to make them up as I see fit. So ship-shape it is.)
But if we walk in the light as He Himself is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin.
